MGM Scotland Announce STV Coverage

MGM Scotland are delighted to announce their October 13th Boxing Dinner Club event at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza will be screened live on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh.

This exciting development provides all boxers featuring on the next instalment of our popular series the opportunity to gain exposure to a huge audience on terrestrial television. A platform that MGM Scotland promoter Sam Kynoch is pleased to have on board.

“We are delighted to secure coverage on STV’s city channels of our October 13th event. The Boxing Dinner Club series has been hugely successful and this represents a great opportunity to showcase our talented boxers to a new audience. Having events screened live on terrestrial TV is great news for Scottish boxing” he said.

Main event will feature ‘Magic’ Marc Kerr, as he attempts to avenge his controversial defeat to Chris Jenkinson earlier this year at the Hydro. This will be Marc’s first appearance since that defeat and promises to be an extremely intense affair. Will it be repeat or revenge in front of the STV cameras.

Next up is the ‘Black Assassin’ Ahmed Ibrahim who makes his professional debut. Ahmed will feature in the Lightweight division and is a talent that has everyone in MGM Scotland excited. A combination of power and speed has Ahmed equipped to explode onto the domestic boxing scene.

Mohammad Babazadeh (4-0) makes his first appearance with MGM Scotland. The Iranian-born Super-Middleweight has recently teamed up with Scottish boxing legend Gary Jacobs and is ready to deliver a knockout performance at the Boxing Dinner Club.

Switching our attention to the Flyweight Division and we have two exciting boxers featuring on the card. Motherwell’s Adam MacKenzie looks to return with a bang after a surprising stoppage defeat in his last contest.

Sunny Edwards makes his second professional appearance on October 13th. Brother of recent world title challenger, Charlie Edwards, Sunny has an impressive range of boxing skills which won him numerous accolades during his amateur career and was a member of the illustrious Great Britain squad.
